Welcome
to Help
The Homeless
In
these pages you can learn more about the aims of Help The Homeless
in helping homeless people throughout the United Kingdom to resume a
normal life.
Though
the popular perception of homeless people is one of vagrants often living
in "cardboard cities", the reality is very different. People
of all ages and from all walks of life may find themselves homeless
for a wide variety of reasons, and suddenly reliant on various charities
or the goodwill of friends for shelter and survival.
Help
The Homeless seeks to support such people in making their return
to the community. It does so by making regular grants from invested
funds to charitable organisations who apply for support for their work.
These organisations will vary from small groups to established residential
or training facilities, and you can see some examples in our About
HTH section.
Since
1975, Help The Homeless has made grants totalling more than two
million pounds to charitable organisations. If you would like to make
a donation or in any way support our work, please see the Supporting
HTH page for further details.
