The
company is limited by guarantee and is governed by its memorandum
and articles of association. It is registered as a charity with
the Charity Commission. Directors are appointed by the board and
serve for a period of three years, after which they are eligible
for re-appointment. In the case of all appointments the board
looks at the skills needed within the board together with the
personal competence and local availability of prospective directors.
